The real dervish is king wherever he is. Neither money, a coat, nor life in the world can take away his kingship from him. If he chooses to live in solitude, it is his own affair. If he wishes to be in a crowd, he may just as well be there. Whether a person sits in a remote place in the forest or in a baker’s shop, if he is thinking of a high ideal his surroundings cannot touch him. There is no aspect of life that can deprive a mystic of his mystical spirit.
